The Troutman Elementary School PTO is proud to
announce that we have been granted accreditation by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. What does this mean for you and the PTO? Well, we are now able to provide you with a Direct Donate Campaign and since we are now an accredited 501(c)(3) your donations are tax deductible expenses.
Why a Direct Donation Campaign?
Direct donations eliminate the hassles of traditional fundraising programs. So, we won’t be asking you to sell items like cookie dough or candles or wrapping paper. This campaign gets more money to our classrooms, and allows your money to work harder for our students.
1. 100% of your donation goes to the school.
2. 100% of your donation is income tax-deductible!
3. No selling or buying involved.
4. Save precious time and effort - just write a check.
Why Should I Donate?
In a perfect world we wouldn’t be asking. But, the reality is that we live in a time where school budgets are drastically cut by the state each year. This campaign ensures that 100% of your money is used for our school! We would like to help fund as many teacher and administrator requests that come in so our students can benefit from our contributions.
We do however, encourage you to continue to advocate for education through the legislative process. With enough voices heard maybe one day our schools will have the funding they really need.

Where does the money go?
Your donation not only supports the wonderful programs, events
and field trips that the PTO sponsors, but also goes directly to
support the classroom. In the 2013-2014 school year alone the PTO has spent:

$11,467.32 on technology for 30 iPad minis with apple care, cases and screen protectors.

$1,841 on the 5th Grade Ropes Course.
The PTO needs your help to ensure our students are getting the best possible school experience, but we need your donation to do it!
How much should I donate?
No amount is too small - or too big! We are asking every family to give as much as they can to support the school. We welcome contributions for ANY amount. Your participation makes a difference to the programs they support and helps build a strong school community where every family gets involved!
How do I donate?
Complete the attached form and return it to your child’s teacher. Donation forms will also be available at the main office at TES. If you have questions please email us directly. You can contact us via our contact us form.
Who can Donate?
Anyone can contribute in your child’s name grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, or your place of business.
Corporate Matching Welcome!
Corporate matching can double your own donation. Consult your employer to learn if they offer corporate match grants. TESPTO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.


Thanks to the funds we have been able to collect our class rooms can embrace technology. Thru the use of technology our students can use Ipads for part of her literacy, math and science centers.


The annual 5th grade ropes course has provided a valuable experience for our sudents. Helping some conquer their fear of heights, learning to work together as a team, leadership skills and so much more.
By contributing to the TESPTO Direct Donation Campaign, you invest directly in your child. The PTO supports programs which are above and beyond District provided resources and curriculum. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, 100% of your direct donation is tax deductible. Here are a few of the programs that the PTO sponsors:
